Carcade Tea (Egyptian Tea)

This tea comes from the herbaceous plant Hibiscus or Carcade which grows in tropical areas. Its red flowers, previously dried in the sun, are used. The infusion is red with a slightly acid, intense and delicate flavor. It is digestive, calming and aphrodisiac. The Carcade Tea is a social drink in Egypt which is even sold on the streets.
